Wat (wie) is killing one another - definitie

ORIGINAL SONG COMPOSED BY ROBERT SMITH, LOL TOLHURST, MICHAEL DEMPSEY, WORDS BY ROBERT SMITH; FIRST RECORDED BY THE CURE
Killing An Arab; Killing an Arab (Song); Killing Another; Kissing an Arab; Killing an Ahab

Yet Another
IDIOMATIC QUALIFIER USED IN THE NAME OF PROGRAMS
Yet Another; YAAP
<jargon> (YA-, after Unix's yacc - Yet Another Compiler-Compiler) A humorous allusion often used in titles to acknowledge that the topic is not original, though the content is. As in "Yet Another AI Group" or "Yet Another {Simulated Annealing} Algorithm". If used of others' work, it describes something of which there are already far too many. In hackish acronyms the "YA" prefix almost invariably expands to Yet Another, e.g. YABA, YAUN. [Jargon File] (1996-11-26)
Killing vector field
  • The Killing field on the circle and flow along the Killing field (enlarge for animation)
  • Killing field on the upper-half plane model, on a semi-circular selection of points. This Killing vector field generates the special conformal transformation. The colour indicates the magnitude of the vector field at that point.
  • Killing field on the sphere. This Killing vector field generates rotation around the z-axis. The colour indicates the height of the base point of each vector in the field. Enlarge for animation of flow along Killing field.
VECTOR FIELD ON A RIEMANNIAN MANIFOLD THAT PRESERVES THE METRIC
Killing vector; Killing vector fields; Killing vectors; Killing symmetry; Killing Vectors; Killing equation
In mathematics, a Killing vector field (often called a Killing field), named after Wilhelm Killing, is a vector field on a Riemannian manifold (or pseudo-Riemannian manifold) that preserves the metric. Killing fields are the infinitesimal generators of isometries; that is, flows generated by Killing fields are continuous isometries of the manifold.
Yet another
IDIOMATIC QUALIFIER USED IN THE NAME OF PROGRAMS
Yet Another; YAAP
Among programmers, yet another (often abbreviated ya, Ya, or YA in the initial part of an acronym) is an idiomatic qualifier in the name of a computer program, organisation, or event that is confessedly unoriginal.

Killing an Arab

"Killing an Arab" is the first single by the Cure. It was recorded at the same time as their first album Three Imaginary Boys (1979), but not included on the album. However, it was included on the band's first US album, Boys Don't Cry (1980).

The song's title and lyrics reference Albert Camus's novel The Stranger. Because of the title, the song has drawn controversy for promoting violence against Arabs, which songwriter Robert Smith pinned on the public's lack of knowledge regarding the novel. Shortly after its release, Smith said, "It just happened that the main character in the book had actually killed an Arab, but it could have been a Scandinavian or an English bloke." In 2003, Smith acknowledged that, "If I knew it before, I would have called it 'Standing on the Beach'. It would have avoided many troubles."
